I'd like to have the new AbiWord in Debian, but still doubt the direct sync from Ubuntu.
Note that the Ubuntu package has dropped abiword-gnome functionality and only provides a single abiword variant equivalent to the previous abiword-gtk, minus scripting capability. It seems like a minimal build. (Note that goffice integration is also disabled.) Another issue to consider is that it repacks upstream separate tarballs into one. This may be convenient for package building, and the separate tarballs are always released at the same time BTW. I just wonder if Debian source should be split accordingly.
