Package: fusion-icon Version: 0.1.0-1 Severity: normal
If I start fusion-icon (using the menu option) its stderr output is not visible, just as for all other X apps launched from the menu. Selecting the compiz window manager results in no window borders because compiz doesn't work on my machine (in this configuration). However, I get no error message; my window borders just go away. However, the software knows there is a problem - this is printed to stderr: ~$ fusion-icon --no-start * Detected Session: gnome * Searching for installed applications... Backend : gconf Integration : true Profile : default Adding plugin decoration (decoration) Initializing decoration options...done * No GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap with direct rendering context ... nor with indirect rendering, this isn't going to work! * Using the GTK Interface * Setting window manager to Compiz ... executing: compiz.real --replace --sm-disable --ignore-desktop-hints ccp --indirect-rendering compiz.real (core) - Fatal: No GLXFBConfig for default depth, this isn't going to work. compiz.real (core) - Error: Failed to manage screen: 0 compiz.real (core) - Fatal: No manageable screens found on display :0.0 Traceback (most recent call last): At the point where one of the tools concludes "this isn't going to work!" it would be handy to inform the user about the problem, perhaps with a dialog box. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.24-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_IE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_IE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages fusion-icon depends on: ii mesa-utils 7.0.3-1 Miscellaneous Mesa GL utilities ii python 2.5.2-1 An interactive high-level object-o ii python-central 0.6.7 register and build utility for Pyt ii python-compizconfig 0.7.6-1 Compizconfig bindings for python ii python-gtk2 2.12.1-6 Python bindings for the GTK+ widge ii x11-utils 7.3+2 X11 utilities fusion-icon recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
