This sounds highly improbable to be the reason of the fix.
/usr/lib/iceweasel/xulrunner is a link to /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.9, where
libxul.so is and belongs to the xulrunner-1.9 package, which you can't
avoid with recent iceweasels.
