Display details about package-name, as found in
/var/lib/dpkg/available.
Perhaps mention that -p missed important details like Tags, and one
should use e.g., "apt-cache show package-name" to see them.
-f, --showformat=format ...
...The following fields are recognised:
...Tag
How will one see tags if they are not apparently stored
/var/lib/dpkg/* ?
(The only one I found was that of gv.)
grep-aptavail finds lots of course.
Same with MD5sum, and probably more.
So better say
Tag #not currently stored
etc.
And also

indeed stored in /var/lib/dpkg/* in the first place, so...
