I see the crash only when I force Liferea to quit, since sometimes it takes a while to shutdown when in this state where it uses 100% CPU and my patience has limits ;-) If I let it shut itself down the crash doesn't occur. Off-topic cheap plug: I've since migrated to Google Reader, since I got tired of Liferea's bugs and slow behavior, and I can say it rocks. Migrating is trivial, since you can import the list of feeds.
