Part of the confusion here may be that iamerican (and ibritish) gets many of its words from wamerican (and wbritish), so if a legitimate spell-checking word is missing from scowl it should be added there rather than to iamerican, in my opinion, so it ends up in the word lists and not just in the spell checker dictionaries.
And odd or unusual words should not be in the spell check dictionaries, to avoid false positives, which is why iamerican pulls words from wamerican and not from wamerican-huge, for example. If you want ispell (or flyspell using ispell) to recognize odd or unusual words, you should add them to your personal ispell dictionary. If you want flyspell to recognize everything in wamerican-huge, I guess you could include them all in your personal ispell dictionary, but you'll probably miss a lot of typos in your texts by doing that. -- David Coe +1 410 505 4468 home/office/cell, depending on where I am -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
