Thanks for the prompt reply. I worked around the problem by doing just that -- disabling the extension as root and then re-installing it as my normal user. Everything works as expected now. Why does every freaking extensible software come with its own packaging system (fireweasel, rubygems, F-Spot, ...) when we have systems like APT, yum, or yast??? Can you guys put some pressure on upstream so that f-spot extensions can be packaged separately?
