The other alternative is to just ignore the dependency, users will get an ugly error message but so do users who try to run the program on 32 bit systems: bash: /usr/bin/strace64: cannot execute binary file Actually maybe strace64 should be installed in /usr/lib/ and strace should automatically exec it when needed. -- ciao, Marco
