I got the same problem with VMware Server 1.0.6, just after doing aptitude upgrade on my Debian Lenny workstation.
I tried to downgrade libx11-6 to 2:1.0.3-7 just as explained in Message #5. But aptitude says it can't find the package, look: [EMAIL PROTECTED] /root>aptitude install libx11-6=2:1.0.3-7 Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree (...) Unable to find a version "2:1.0.3-7" for the package "libx11-6" Unable to find a version "2:1.0.3-7" for the package "libx11-6" No packages will be installed, upgraded, or removed. (...)
