No problem at all. Don't forget about closing the bug with appropriate version tagging (ie send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] that starts with a lin containing "Version: xxxxxx-yyy" where xxxxx-yyy is the version where the bug was fixed (in that case, the version where you removed the debconf stuff).
