I did not try any of the Debian packages, because the 3.0.? version was
on the redhat-side, but that side did an update from 3.0.1 to 3.0.2 at
some point. I now tried to reproduce the bug with the same Debian
version and the same file and command. I did not succeed. From that I
would guess that something was broken upstream in version 3.0.1 which
got fixed in the redhat version of 3.0.2, which might already include
the fix from upstream 3.0.3.
