Upstream released 0.7.8 that (if I'm not mistaken) may have fixed this bug. Fabrice built an etch deb package, but encountered difficulties at installation. Some compilation that failed. Fabrice may want to fill in the details. I built a lenny package out of exactly the same source. Installs just fine. but I didn't test.
