Hello, It would certainly be nice if --disable-asm would no longer be necessary. However, I'm afraid that I do not have enough time to properly discuss this with upstream at the moment. I am currently working on a project in Australia while my ppc64 machine is in Hamburg, Germany, which makes things a little bit difficult.
