Package: mailman
Version: 2.1.5-8
Severity: serious
Justification: hangs in postinst

(You already know about this bug, just keeping it in the BTS to make
sure it's not getting lost :-) )

Upgrading mailman from woody fails for two reasons:

- the postinst script does a "read foo" in multiple places -- from
  debconf.
- no messages of any kind are shown hinting that aliases.mailman should
be changed -- thus messages come from <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, which
doesn't exist, which breaks when sending out sender callouts. At the
very minimum, a debconf note should be added.
