Package: mailman Version: 2.1.5-8 Severity: serious Justification: hangs in postinst
(You already know about this bug, just keeping it in the BTS to make sure it's not getting lost :-) ) Upgrading mailman from woody fails for two reasons: - the postinst script does a "read foo" in multiple places -- from debconf. - no messages of any kind are shown hinting that aliases.mailman should be changed -- thus messages come from <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, which doesn't exist, which breaks when sending out sender callouts. At the very minimum, a debconf note should be added. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.11.8 Locale: LANG=en_DK.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_DK.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages mailman depends on: pn apache | httpd Not found. ii cron 3.0pl1-87 management of regular background p ii debconf 1.4.48 Debian configuration management sy ii exim [mail-transport-agent] 3.36-16 An MTA (Mail Transport Agent) ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-21 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii logrotate 3.7-2 Log rotation utility ii pwgen 2.03-1 Automatic Password generation ii python 2.3.5-2 An interactive high-level object-o ii ucf 1.17 Update Configuration File: preserv -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
