Package: xserver-xfree86 Version: 4.3.0.dfsg.1-14_i386 An "apt-get upgrade" about 12 hours ago broke my mousewheel. Furthermore the mouse speed has decreased. (several (all?) X-server-related packages were updated)
The problem is that /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file was overwritten/changed. Recovering the old XF86Config-4 from a backup and exchanging it with the new one restored the accustomed mouse function. Screen resultion, driver (ati) haven't been altered (only the mouse was the problem - even the keyboard stayed at "102") Let me know if you need the XF86Config-4 before and after, and any additional info I can't imagine now. BTW, on June 3rd, I changed /etc/apt/sources.list from "testing" to "sarge". Best regards, Hannes.
