Subject: maxima: Strange error with the latest version Package: maxima Version: 5.15.0-2 Severity: normal
Hi, After upgrading to the latest version, 5.15, I found some strange errors when using it. To be specific, suppose we try to solve such an integration: integrate(exp(x)*x, x, 0, r); it will report: Maxima encountered a Lisp error: Error in SYMBOL-NAME [or a callee]: "Is " is not of type SYMBOL. Automatically continuing. To reenable the Lisp debugger set *debugger-hook* to nil. However, it seems OK in older version of maxima. Is there any non-compatible change in upstream? Or something else wrong? Thank you very much. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.25-2-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages maxima depends on: ii gnuplot-nox 4.2.3-1 A command-line driven interactive ii libc6 2.7-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgmp3c2 2:4.2.2+dfsg-3 Multiprecision arithmetic library ii libice6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libncurses5 5.6+20080726-2 shared libraries for terminal hand ii libreadline5 5.2-3 GNU readline and history libraries ii libsm6 2:1.0.3-2 X11 Session Management library ii libx11-6 2:1.1.4-2 X11 client-side library ii libxaw7 2:1.0.4-2 X11 Athena Widget library ii libxext6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 miscellaneous extension librar ii libxmu6 2:1.0.4-1 X11 miscellaneous utility library ii libxt6 1:1.0.5-3 X11 toolkit intrinsics library Versions of packages maxima recommends: ii gv 1:3.6.5-2 PostScript and PDF viewer for X ii maxima-share 5.15.0-2 A computer algebra system -- extra Versions of packages maxima suggests: ii maxima-doc 5.15.0-2 A computer algebra system -- docum pn texmacs <none> (no description available) pn wish <none> (no description available) -- no debconf information -- HZ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
