Hi,

I found this bug report at
http://trac.galago-project.org/ticket/71
and I think this could be useful in Debian. Please consider the
mentioned patch. Here is the text of the report.

Notification-daemon is a process that takes up memory even if it is not
currently in use. However, after killall notification-daemon, the
ability to display notification messages is not affected because dbus
relaunches the service.

Notification daemon should quit when not in use to save memory (~3mb on
my box). While it will slightly increase the time to display a
notification, this does not seem like an issue (things that cause a
notification are usually things that could wait 500ms).

Thanks,
Joachim
