This is fixed in version 2.0.14-1 even though neither the upstream nor the Debian changelog mentions an appropriate fix at all. Anyway, the "Requires" field of OpenIPMIpthread.pc now lists "OpenIPMI" only while "-pthread" has been added to the "Cflags" field. However, I'm not closing this bug as the same problem exists for ncurses.pc which is required by OpenIPMIui.pc but does not exist in Debian (according to apt-file).
