With "Replicating..." I mean "I've take the same example you attached to the bug report, replicated locally and verified the bug reported is no more present in the software", sorry if I didn't make clearer before. Moreover, it's not a ping, just that the situation that arose your bug could be more weird than the mine, so mine would only be a courtesy-form closure message to please ask you to reopen it if I closed it with no deep exploration of the bug.
