I grabbed the netboot images from http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/ on Friday 15th August, I then unpacked the initrd, added the firmware images and repacked the initrd (find . | xargs cpio -o -H newc | gzip -c > initrd). I can't see what I did wrong in the initrd repacking but I presume I must have broken it somehow (maybe I managed to repack an older initrd - perhaps I mistakenly repacked etch's initrd with lenny's kernel). > I have noticed a similar issue with the currently UNRELEASED version, > see: http://lists.debian.org/debian-boot/2008/08/msg00451.html I do use preseeding, but I haven't set that option.
