Package: samba Version: 2:3.2.0-4 Severity: important Since update to 3.2.0, smbd crashes with segfault whenever a user (from WindowsXP) needs to authenticate. Public shares without authentication (see attached config) work correct. After the crash the smbd daemon is unuseable anymore and needs to be restarted hard (kill -9), simple sysv restart leaves some crashed processes around making smbd unuseable.
