This release is for 2.6.24 and 2.6.23 (tested) but might work for 2.6.22 (untested). It has no new features; this release fixes masq support for 2.6.23. If you need a patch for 2.6.22 I recommend the 070717 release below.

I agree to reuse/extend this bugreport for lack of newer updates too.

The reason I set severity to serious, again from the upstream homepage:

The patch does not work for 2.6.25 or above due to a missing conversion from rtnetlink til netlink (thanks to Rune Kock for bug report and debugging). I'll look into this when I can find the time.

Conclusion: neither the packaged nor the upstream patch will work on Lenny.

Well - that does not make the bug serious. Adjusting severity based on descriptions at http://www.debian.org/Bugs/Developer#severities

Observation: since the problem hasn't been fixed for 9.5 months upstream, a fix in time for Lenny release is probably unlikely. I suggest removal while we wait for this feature to reach us via the upstream linux kernel developers which will help out with QA.

I disagree - it does no harm to provide this patch package for the little minority willing to use older kernels.
