This bug is now the top result in a google search for "debian File
Copy.pm" so it would be nice if one entry contained the solution for all
users whose machine is currently in a bad state following a failed
etch->lenny upgrade and are not full fledged apt hackers.
On my machine, running
dpkg --install /var/cache/apt/archives/perl-base_5.10.0-13_i386.deb
updated perl sufficiently to find the missing File/Copy.pm and allowed
the upgrade to complete. There are probably safer ways to do this, but I
could not find them in the apt documentation.
