As you may have seen on my comment, I have a problem compiling openfire with debian mina package because of a non-existing getEventQueueSize method, I pasted the error message at the end of this mail. I checked out various branches of mina directly from svn and never found this method, so I rather think openfire use a patched version, but I am waiting for a confirmation. I intented to directly ask mina upstream if they know about this method in the case I didn't receive an answer from openfire upstream, but you may check that now with mina upstream.
