alsa-driver 1.0.17.dfsg is prepared in svn [0]. we're not sure wheather it makes sense to release a seperate 1.0.16 release. alsa-lib 1.0.17, which resides in experimental, has an API change which will affect many dependend packages. Testing is still frozen, at the moment there ist no chance to get 1.0.17 in, though.
