Package: facter Version: 1.5-0.1 Severity: important Facter causes Puppet to leave behind defunct processes:
13972 ? Ss 2:03 ruby /usr/sbin/puppetd -w 0 16009 ? Z 0:00 \_ [sh] <defunct> 16023 ? Z 0:00 \_ [sh] <defunct> I've seen this increase to up to a hundred defunct processes after a week or so. Killing the Puppet process makes the defunct processes disappear. The latest release of Facter (1.5.1) fixes this by adding a Process.waitall thread.
