Hi Daniel,

I'm sending you /var/lib/dpkg/status and /var/lib/aptitude/pkgstates
privately (they aren't secret, just big).  These two weren't enough
for me to reproduce the issue as explained at
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=495954#91
Probably because I've got no clue what an apt status file could be.
/var/lib/apt contains package lists only, which sure were backed up,
but also refreshed just before the upgrade, so the backups aren't
worth much, I'm afraid.  What else could be useful for you?
