Hi, Upgrading xserver-xorg-video-intel to 2:2.3.2-2+lenny3 (instead of +lenny1) improves the situation : the screen still randomly flickers, but moving the pointer around the screen redraws correctly the screen, and makes the desktop partly usable for a few second, till it flickers again.
I also got the impression (it's not a fact) that flickering depends on the 'video load', as suggested in #470249. Perhaps the two bugs should be merged ? -ben
