Package: kpartx Version: 0.4.8-12 Severity: important multipathd requires kpartx and udev to be nice and do the dm creation work. kpartx uses /lib/udev/dmsetup_env for that, which uses dmsetup. however the package depends on dmsetup in general, while at least version 2:1.02.08-1 does not support '-o whatever' options, only '-o name', which fails partition creation, which makes multipathd quite useless indeed. moreover, it makes poor admins to yell and scream and run in circles to figure out why on earth this bloody thing doesn't work.
