Package: xml-resume-library Version: 1.5.1-9 Severity: wishlist Tags: patch
Hi!
I took a look at /usr/share/sgml/xml-resume-library/xsl/country/it.xsl
and found some room for improvement (I am an Italian native speaker).
First of all, "page" was left in English: I translated it in Italian.
Secondly, a better italian translation for "Publications" is
"Pubblicazioni", rather than "Documenti", IMHO.
Likewise, "References" is better translated as "Referenze", rather
than "Riferimenti".
Then, an italian translation was missing for three elements:
"pager" (which is, or was, called "Cercapersone" down here in Italy)
and "minor"/"minors" (which is quite difficult to render in Italian,
since AFAIK we don't really have an equivalent of U.S. minor courses
of study in Italy: I think that using "e", the italian translation
of "and" is definitely imperfect, but anyway better than
"TRANSLATION NEEDED" !!).
The attached patch implements the above described enhancemnts
and is licensed under the same terms as the original file,

I hope you think this is a useful contribution.
Please apply the patch to the Debian package and forward it
to upstream, as well.
Bye!
