hi all!

the asus board i was talking about in my installation report was an 'm2n-mx se
plus'. i could install lenny but had problems with the timer and acpi whilst
booting (with etch and lenny). i guess the chips were broken (which i'm about
to check with the vendor). however, i have compiled the radeon 3200 hd drivers
from the latest git tree and everything is working perfectly alright (at least
with gnome+sawfish; an etch live cd with kde from around july works also
properly on this machine). i received also a proper kernel via ftp and
everything works perfect. i don't even know if the kernel on the install cd was
for a 64bit prozessor...that's typical debian - it always installs :-). sorry
for the noise and thank you all for making the best OS in the world.

regards bubo.ignauus
