Package: emacs22 Severity: wishlist
emacs22-nox is nice because it starts up faster than the -x version, and even more so than the -gtk build. Hence, it's useful to be able to have both, e.g. using -nox for remote logins to the machine on which it's installed. (I would like to be able to have quick-starting Emacs instead of using Zile). Hence, could it be possible (as for example with the emacs-snapshot packages, at least on Ubuntu) to install multiple flavors? Also, it would be nice if there was an emacs-nox alternative just like the current emacs alternative, so that the -nox flavor could have a version-independent name. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
