According to popcon: network-manager: 34495 network-manager-applet: 31638 knetworkmanager: 3341 Number of people having both installed is between min 484 and max 3341. lxde: 188 > >> OnlyShowIn=Gnome doesn't mean, that autostart is not allowed in another >> desktop environment, just disabled by default, for the above reasons, to >> avoid clashing of apps. >> >> KDE and GNOME are the major desktops so imho it makes sense to optimize >> for the common case. >> >> I don't think your proposal is a good idea, so tagged as wontfix. > > Ok, than please at least add this to README.Debian. > > > Can you think of another solution. I don't think this would be a viable solution that would justify the efforts. If LXDE properly implements the fdo specs and sets a proper desktop identifier, you could add that to /etc/xdg/autostart/nm-applet.desktop OnlyShowIn=GNOME;XFCE;LXDE I have never seen the LXDE identifier before, though. Cheers, Michael -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
