I have a version of pommed that you could test; maybe the MacBook Pro
can be supported if Apple did not change the way the LCD backlight is
controlled.

It's been tested on a MacBook5,1 already and it didn't work there, but
maybe they kept the same interface on the MacBook Pro because of the
dual GPU config. So it needs testing :)

Note that for proper support you'll also need a set of kernel patches
for applesmc, usbhid and the trackpad driver. Probably not in mainline
before 2.6.29.


In the meantime, can you send the output of lspci -nn on your machine?
