Excerpts from David Futcher's message of Wed Nov 05 11:31:14 -0500 2008: > Forwarding a patch from Ubuntu, mpd's init.d file should read the mpd > user from mpd.conf, instead of assuming the username is 'mpd'.
What is the problem that this solves? Why does it require awk? Why is it looking at audio_output? I very much dislike the idea of people running mpd under random accounts, because there's no way I can support someone who thinks they know what they're doing and breaks their setup in some strange, account-dependent way when they should just be using the defaults (#mpd is *full* of these kids). I will have to tell them to come back when they can produce the problem using the mpd user, which is a PITA for everyone involved. I'm really not happy that Ubuntu is doing this, but I guess it's up to them. -- things change. [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
