Ah - I just found the account type when you create a NEW account. I'd been searching around in the existing account options... 1. Delete old accounts, save settings and exit KMail. 2. Wait a bit for all the kio_ programs to stop. 3. Go in and delete all the temp files and anything related to the old IMAP accounts. 4. Restart KMail and create new "Disconnected IMAP" account type 5. Witness it not work AT ALL. 6. Delete new "Disconnected IMAP" account, save settings and exit KMail 7. Wait for the kio_ programs to stop. 8. Restart KMail and create new "IMAP" account type 9. Witness it work exactly like it used to. So, in sum, the "Disconnected IMAP" account type does not work AT ALL for me. Am I doing something wrong? I actually tried many more ways than this, but this seemed the most thorough (and it still doesn't work for beans). Cheers.
