Vino checks for the return of gtk_show_uri. If it's false, it displays an error dialog saying there was a problem when opening the help. I guess it would be good for gcalctool to both display a more explicative dialog, and use gtk_show_uri instead of gnome-open. If I have time this weekend I'll try to cook a patch.
