yes, on etch (4.16.0.70-3) and lenny (4.16.0.70-3.1)
Sometimes a large white window (about 3/4 screen size) flashes up for
one screen frame, so I guess it may be some unhealthy interaction with
the X server or some library, however I've tried it on thre different
systems, with X servers ati, cirrus and i82810 and get the same result
on all of them. All systems are recently updated.
If I can be of further assistance, or if ssh access to an example
machine would be useful, please write again
