Hi Evgeni, I don't remember if I told you why I use uvesafb: it's because since linux-image-2.6.25-1-686 I cannot use 'vga=791': http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=481063
But I *can* when I roll my own kernel with the same version from kernel.org . It's something that is happening in the Debian kernel. Don't know if it is related. Regards, Hugo
