That should be sufficient. I've added a patch to upstream to ensure that the aclocal.m4 files do not contain a definition of LT_INIT nor AC_PROG_LIBTOOL (they should just m4_include the relevant macro files); you may want to consider using that, too, to be sure to avoid the bug.
