severity 506862 normal thanks
When I try to run inspircd, it dies with the message "inspircd: error
while loading shared
libraries: libIRCDchannels.so: cannot open shared object file: No such
file or directory" In my test chroots at least it starts sucessfully using the init script but fails to start with the error the submitter gives if I try to launch it directly. It seems inspircd is intended to be started through an init script and relies on that init script to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH before launching the IRCD.
I'm not sure this is a bug and it certainly doesn't seem to be a grave one. You shouldn't really be starting daemons directly anyway since it will mean the init script can't find them to shut down or restart. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
