first of all: Many thanks for packaging and maintaining thunderbird! During the process of opening an IMAP mail folder activity is indicated by a moving bar in the lower margin near the right side, just beside the two status fields for unread and all messages in the folder to open, respectively. Besides this moving bar a permanent rectangle is displayed---presumably the border of the moving bar. The bar movement exceeds the border rectangle both at the left and the right hand side.
