Over 3 years ago, you reported this issue with smbspool: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=322505 To be honest, I very much suspect this is entirely unrelated to samba but, anyay, requires to have a look at logfiles and get more information. Are you still in position to try reproducing this bug ? If not, I'm afraid that our only possibility is closing it, with apologies for the lack of feedback at the time you were experiencing it... --
