Hi Samuel, no, I have to say that your patch doesn't work as expected. I've tried both console tools with attached patch and kbd with patch from bugzila.kernel.org and no one returns correct keys. It has been tested with actual lenny kernel. Making a simple test echo "ěščřž-ěščřž" > file.txt it returns attached results. First characters ěščřž has been typed pressing one key (2,3,4,5 and 6), second hes been typed using dead caron then corresponding key. There is small difference between kbd package and console-tools package, see attacched files. Typing ť or ď failed with both packages. Console-tools returns "e" instead "ě" ... it seems to be my typing error but I am almost sure (98%) it has been pressed correctly.
