Hi, I'd installed the Build: (20080825c-final) version of Kicad from unstable and it was seeming to work all right yesterday, but not today :-( The same problem has now occurred again however I've found file "noname" in working directory (by default it's my home directory) as reason to reported infinite loop. Without this file application seems to work all right.
Moreover there are old hidden files (.kicad_common, .KiCad) from some previous version of Kicad. These both are reason for error message "cannot find locale GB_en" and programs runs in English instead my local language. This issue I solved simply by delete both. It's similat to bug http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=398615
