Thanks !

Ok, noted.

According to
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~fajran/sedot/trunk/annotate/head%3A/bin/get.rsync.debian
be carefull to not use it in a "push" context.

For example :
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~fajran/sedot/trunk/annotate/head%3A/pkgs/debian/rsync.exclude
this exclude list is not complete for a given arch, but :
    EXCLUDE="${EXCLUDE} --exclude binary-${ARCH}/ --exclude disks-${ARCH}/
--exclude installer-${ARCH}/ --exclude Contents-${ARCH}.gz --exclude
Contents-${ARCH}.bz2 --exclude Contents-${ARCH}.diff/ --exclude
arch-${ARCH}.files --exclude arch-${ARCH}.list.gz --exclude *_${ARCH}.deb
--exclude *_${ARCH}.udeb "

Concerning rsync options, ftpsync options are :
#RSYNC_OPTIONS="-rltvHSB8192 --timeout 3600 --stats --exclude
Archive-Update-in-Progress-${MIRRORNAME} --exclude ${TRACE} --exclude
Archive-Update-Required-${MIRRORNAME}"

## Options the first pass gets. We do not want the Packages/Source indices
## here, and we also do not want to delete any files yet.
#RSYNC_OPTIONS1="--exclude Packages* --exclude Sources* --exclude Release*
--exclude ls-lR*"

## Options the second pass gets. Now we want the Packages/Source indices too
## and we also want to delete files. We also want to delete files that are
## excluded.
#RSYNC_OPTIONS2="--max-delete=40000 --delay-updates --delete --delete-after
--delete-excluded"

That would be great that sedot just uses ftpsync as a plugin.
Indeed, rsync options and excluding lists evolve with the structure of the
archive itself.

Basically, there is a risk such software keeps used while it is not in sync
with the reality of the distribution.

So please take care to backport to sedot the options and error management we
add in ftpsync.

Ok, tell us which is the better for you.

Ok.
