I tried to replicate the bug, but I was not able to find how to find a
way to enable icon hiding on KDE 4.1 (sorry, I am not a KDE user :) How
can you do that?

Actually, a new upload for qutecom (i.e. the new name for wengophone
2.2) is pending:

Could you try with that one? It has undergone a lot of changes; if the
bug persists, I am forwarding it upstream.
