I understand that this could be convenient, however I am not planning on fixing this bug for two reasons:
1- I believe ccache should be manually enabled by each user. Since it can cause problems in specific circumstances, I don't believe it should be globally enabled without the users' knowledge. 2- I am not sure how to modify /etc/profile in a way that would be robust and would be consisten with the Debian Policy.
