I think given that Lenny is due Real Soon Now and that the stuff in Etch works well enough to get as far as the install libc-xen phase (i.e. 99.9% of use cases) there's no point putting time into fixing it for Etch so thanks for the offer but I think there's no need for the reduced test case anymore.
