Thanks, I've applied your patch. For all the other points, my intention is to heavily unclutter debtags, removing most of those features that are not used often, and maybe reimplementing them as separate tools. That'll have to be done post-lenny, though. For that reason, I'll leave this bug open (after all, it isn't fixed yet) until the big clean up happens.
